Jimmy Wright Carved Crow Bird Folk Art Carving Decoy
Carved Crow by Jimmy Wright from Maryland's Eastern Shore. A piece I recently picked up from a dealer on the shore. Jimmy Wright was born in 1933 and carved out of Massey Maryland. Carved in 3 sections. Likely done in the 1960s-80s. Dry but not crackled paint. Has a hook on top for hanging and a hole on the bottom for use on a decoy / shorebird type stand. Good size. I've posted a screen shot of an article from the 1990s in a decoy magazine.
15 and half inches long. 4 and 3/4 inches tall.
Nice condition. Some minor paint loss. Some minor wear. See photos. All original. No touch ups to the paint. No repairs.
