This object has loads of presence and character. Great patina and wear including a super worn out base. Its been around for a while. Early to mid 19th century. Loads of oxidation to the base. A well down carving. Remnants of old red paint. Some old splits / shrinkage. The face is mesmerizing.

Found in Georgia. I believe it could be American. It was suggested to me that the wood could be Chestnut, but also Mahogany.
