Two incredible folky carved wood animals.  Both have great presence and really speak to me, hopefully you too.  They retain some remnants of silver gray paint in the cracks.  Both have a great dry surface.  I believe these charming carvings date to the 1920s.  

The  Kangaroo is mostly one piece of wood.  The tail, head and baby's head are all separate pieces.  The right hand was broken and reglued.  She is 6 inches tall.  

The Giraffe's legs are nailed or glued and the neck and head are a separate piece.  It is 5 and 3/4 inches tall and over 5 inches long.
